Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver meals and snacks to patients in a timely and courteous manner.
Verify patient identity and ensure meals match prescribed dietary restrictions.
Assist patients with menu selections in accordance with physician-ordered diets.
Communicate patient needs, concerns, or food preferences to dietary staff.
Set up meal trays and assist patients with opening containers or basic needs.
Collect trays after meals and maintain cleanliness of patient areas.
Maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards (CDC or hospital policy).
Provide friendly interaction to improve patient satisfaction and comfort.
Document meal delivery and patient intake as required.
