Job summary

Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta in California is seeking a Materials Management Technician to oversee the efficient flow of hospital equipment, supplies, and mail.

You will perform courier and mailroom duties, manage inventory through daily counts and data entry, and support ERP-based stock control. The role requires knowledge of inventory management, solid numerical skills, and professional communication with hospital partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital Central Supply or stockroom preferred.
• Ability to read and write legibly and follow instructions.
• Proficient data entry and numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety and infection control standards.
• Distributes supplies and equipment to units in a timely fashion.
• Maintains an adequate supply of items to meet area needs including inventory control, labeling and inspection.
• Keeps a neat, clean work environment with proper storage and organization.
• Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings.
• Attends meetings as required.
