Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a Materials Management Technician I to support the Service Center by delivering products, receiving and reconciling items at the receiving dock, stocking storerooms, and ensuring timely distribution to ORs and clinical areas.

The role requires early-morning shifts (Wednesday-Saturday 5:00am–3:30pm) and a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and patient care within a large healthcare system. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of mathematics sufficient to add and subtract as required to maintain accurate logs.
• Knowledge of computer systems including bar code readers, handheld computers, and printers.
• Must pass the Service Center certification training program for the operation of material handling power equipment and maintain the certification through periodic reviews.
• This certification must be obtained during the 90-day new hire period.
• One year of experience, preferably in a warehouse, manufacturing, or assembly environment.
• Three months on-the-job training to learn locations of clinic desks, departments, delivery routes and proper operation of equipment.
• Can operate materials handling equipment.
• Must be self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be comfortable using touchscreen computers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver items using appropriate equipment to hospital nursing stations and stock designated storage areas.
• Receive storeroom stock items from shipping and receiving areas; unpack, inspect, verify shipment accuracy and input data into the warehouse management system.
• Stock picking locations and rotate stock to minimize loss of materials.
• Survey, fill and stock nursing floors and clinical areas to maintain Par Level/Automatic Stocking Systems.
• Maintain storeroom cleanliness and organize inventory to support efficient workflow.
• Communicate stocking needs with Nurse Managers and department designees to anticipate future demand.
