BMCHS in Brockton, MA seeks a part-time Materials Aide to support Purchasing by receiving, restocking, and delivering hospital supplies. The role uses computerized systems and vehicle transport to move materials between departments and off-site locations.

Responsibilities include tracking shipments, verifying documents, preparing packages, loading/unloading, and performing routine inventories. A valid MA driver’s license is required; prior materials handling experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Skill in lifting heavy packages and objects.
• Skill in following both verbal and written instructions.
• A valid Massachusetts Driver’s License is required for this position.
• Materials Handling, Shipping and Receiving experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Tracks incoming or outgoing items to verify against records and inspect for damage or shortages.
• Prepares material for shipment and stamps packages.
• Assists in loading and unloading trucks.
• Delivers items to departments or stores in stockroom.
• Operates pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, and related equipment.
• Participates in routine inventories and stock counting.
• Tags new stock with prices or IDs.
• Signs for incoming shipments as received.
• Fills orders and issues materials per requests; records transactions.
• Operates a hospital vehicle to transport items between locations.
