Job summary

UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital Gainesville is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform general mechanical and preventive tasks, inspect, service, repair and overhaul plant equipment, with safety as a priority for patients and staff.

The role supports the Director of Plant Operations and requires handling HVAC, electrical, boilers, pumps, piping, and related systems to sustain a safe, comfortable environment in a full-time Gainesville location.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance, repair, and safety procedures.
• Current and valid Driver's License required.
• Experience in hospital or healthcare facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Monitor operation of refrigeration and water systems and report issues.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical controls and motors.
• Ensure safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
