Job summary

UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital Gainesville, affiliated with Select Medical, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support hospital operations at 2708 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $21/hr to $28/hr, depending on experience and shift.

The role focuses on preventive maintenance and safe operation of hospital facilities. Responsibilities include maintaining HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, and related systems; performing repairs

Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance, repair, and safety procedures.
Current and valid Driver's License required.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Trade or Vocational School background preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform general mechanical and preventive tasks; inspect, service, repair and overhaul equipment with safety focus.
Monitor operation of refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, and hot water systems; adjust and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation.
Analyze system operation to identify problems and take corrective action.
Assist with installation and repair of plumbing, wiring motors, pumps, seals and controls.
Repair and maintain electrical and mechanical systems and report issues.
