Job summary

Uniontown Hospital is seeking a Laundry Attendant to process and supply clean linens in the washroom, dryer and sorting areas. You will handle washing, ironing, folding and distribution of linen across hospital units, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities include operating washing and folding equipment, monitoring quality, and coordinating linen par levels. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; 20 hours weekly in Uniontown, PA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year laundry experience.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads dryers, sets temperatures, drying times and cool down cycles.
• Operates folding machines and folds laundry manually as needed.
• Delivers finished linen to the clean linen room and checks for stains or damage.
• Directs items for rewashing and mending.
• Feeds/receives linen to/from ironing; folds and prepares for processing.
• Sorts laundry, prepares items for processing, and manages linen par system.
• Prepares and washes soiled laundry, records weights and handles loads.
• Delivers/receives linen to/from all user locations and fulfills special orders.
• Maintains linen carts and replaces bags on hampers as needed.
• Loads/unloads linen carts, trucks and tables; keeps area neat and orderly.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and assists with general duties as assigned.
