Job summary

Missouridelta is seeking a Full-Time Laundry/Linen Aide at a Sikeston, MO hospital. You will operate washers, dryers, ironers, and folding equipment, sort and weigh linen, and deliver and collect linen throughout the facility. The role requires physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and day shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, perform addition and subtraction and follow simple written and oral directions.

Responsibilities

• Operate washers and dryers.
• Operate flatwork ironer and flatwork folder to iron and fold pieces.
• Operate steam press or iron for coats and items.
• Fold and stack linen, load linen into hampers and carts.
• Deliver linen exchange carts and hampers throughout the hospital.
• Sort and deliver linen bags throughout the hospital.
• Sort, weigh and process wash loads.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance as assigned.
