Job summary

Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, KS seeks a Service Tech for Laundry Linen Services on a full-time day shift. You will sort, inspect, operate laundry equipment, fold linens neatly, and distribute them across the Medical Center while keeping work areas clean.

The role involves on-site duties with some lifting and exposure to typical healthcare environment conditions. Previous service or hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service industry.
• Experience working in a hospital.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three- syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.

Responsibilities

• Sorts wet linen into correct categories/baskets.
• Operates all laundry equipment per instruction, which can include loading and unloading washers and dryers.
• Folds all types of clean linens in a neat, consistent manner and then placed in proper storage areas.
• Load linen carts with clean linen with correct par levels.
• Distributes Linens throughout Medical Center.
• Keeps equipment, laundry carts and work areas clean at all times.
