Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO seeks a Laundry & Linen Technician to support patient care by maintaining clean sheets and garments. This full-time role runs 7:00AM–3:30PM, 40 hours/week, and is essential to hospital operations.

You'll operate commercial washers and dryers, sort, fold, label, and deliver linens across units, while upholding safety and cleanliness. Strong English communication and a team-first attitude are valued; high school diploma preferred.

• Experience in commercial or institutional laundry.
• Good verbal and written communication in English.

• Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift and move around during shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial washers and dryers to keep loads moving.
• Fold laundry items (flatwork, garments, linens) by hand or with equipment as needed.
• Clean laundry machines regularly to maintain safe operation.
• Label and track personal clothing for residents to avoid mix-ups.
• Learn and remember key delivery and pickup locations across units.
• Deliver clean linens and collect soiled ones from designated areas.
• Support the team and work independently when needed.
