The role requires basic math, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and physical stamina to lift and move heavy laundry carts and bags daily. Weekend and overtime may be required in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Good English communication with staff and patients.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic for stock levels.
• Ability to operate washing/drying machines and labeling equipment.
• Ability to input data into a tracking system.
• Ability to lift stacks of linen up to 30 lbs and push/pull heavy carts.

Responsibilities

• Sorts, checks and stocks clean linen and clothing daily.
• Delivers linens to hospital floors and stocks linen closets.
• Prepares soiled laundry for shipping to external service.
• Keeps linen room neat and orderly and follows safety procedures.
• Observes infection control and departmental policies.
