Job summary

VPNE in Boston, MA is seeking an entry-level Linen Worker to assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing linens for patient use. You will transport linen carts, record inventory, and follow safety protocols in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include delivering linens, handling soiled items, and addressing basic customer requests while maintaining uniform standards and complying with infection-control guidelines. Schedule is Mon-Fri 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Be able to walk throughout the Hospital.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Stand long periods, stooping and bending.
• Lift linens and supplies up to 50 lb.
• Push/pull wheeled linen bins and carts >600 lb.
• Pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Transport filled bins of clean linens to distribution locations.
• Record the quantities of linen items and monitor inventory.
• Load and store linen items, maintain clean linen room.
• Transport linen carts to designated areas in the hospital.
• Communicate with hospital staff and respond to requests.
• Collect soiled linen and prepare for laundr y return.
• Follow safety protocols and wear protective equipment.
