Job summary

Sodexo at NYC Health and Hospitals - South Brooklyn Health is hiring a Laundry Worker for a part-time role with varying shifts and open availability. Pay is $22.20 per hour.

Responsibilities include washing, drying, folding, sorting, pressing, and mending clothes and linens, with possible duties around uniforms or external laundry services. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of related work experience.
• Driver's license may be required depending on location.
• Bloodborne Pathogen Training may be needed depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, fold, sort, press and mend clothes and linens.
• Maintain uniforms or coordinate with outside service for laundering.
• Operate laundry machinery and ensure safety and efficiency.
• Track laundry lists, count articles, and report discrepancies.
• Keep laundry areas clean and manage supplies and chemicals.
• Stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
