BURL Clinical Laboratory in Southern California is seeking a Per Diem Laboratory Technician to perform phlebotomy across all ages and prepare specimens for analysis. You will coordinate couriers and routes and provide coverage at multiple sites within Southern California, including weekends and holidays as needed.

The role supports lab operations across various locations, with emphasis on accuracy, communication, and timely processing of specimens.

Qualifications

• CA Phlebotomy Technician I certification is required.
• High school diploma or GED/HiSET.
• Must be able to work at multiple Southern California locations.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and other shifts.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Excellent communication, organization and time management skills.

Description

As a Laboratory Technician, Per Diem at the BURL Clinical Laboratory, your duties include:

• Performs phlebotomy on patients of all ages.
• Prepares specimens for analysis, performs laboratory functions, and assists in coordination of couriers and routes, including follow-ups on service delays.
• Provides coverage at multiple sites within Southern California (e.g. Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, Woodland Hills, Santa Clarita, Porter Ranch, Calabasas, Burbank, Century City, Encino, Panorama City, and Torrance).

Salary Range: $48.51 - $48.51/hour

May convert to career.

Qualifications

• A current, California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I Certificate
• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED or HiSET)
• Must be able to work at various locations within Southern California (California (e.g. West Lake Village, Thousand Oaks, Woodland Hills, Santa Clarita, Porter Ranch, Calabasas, Burbank, Century City, Encino, Panorama City, Torrance and Redondo Beach).
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and other shifts as needed.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Excellent communication, organization and time management skills.
• Skill in performing related computer procedures (LIS, HIS).
• Knowledgeable in quality assurance practices, preferred.
