Job summary

Progeny Human Resource Solutions is seeking an ASCP Hospital Lab Director in Louisiana. The successful candidate will oversee Laboratory Services including blood bank, chemistry, hematology and microbiology, ensuring exceptional patient care and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include leading the department, directing resources, and communicating organizational expectations to staff. Candidates must have acute care lab supervision experience, state licensure, a CLS degree, and ASCP

Qualifications

• Must have recent acute care Lab Supervisory experience at Manager/Supervisor level.
• State License Medical Technologist
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited school in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or chemical, physical or biological science
• Registered with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) * REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• The Director of Laboratory is responsible for planning, coordination, and control of all activities relating to Laboratory Services, including blood bank, chemistry and hematology, and microbiology.
• The Director provides leadership, direction and administration to the department and communicates the expectations of the organization to employees.
• The Director adheres to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acts in the best interest of the organization and fully supports the mission, vision and values of our client.
