Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Casual Utility Technician to assist in the hospital kitchen. Schedule is Tuesday 4pm-12:30am and every other weekend 10am-6:30pm, with additional hours as needed.

The role involves cleaning dishes, maintaining sanitary work areas, and supporting kitchen operations to ensure safe, clean service. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and about 6 months of dishwasher experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months dishwasher experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dishwashing techniques preferred.
• Basic math skills required.
• Strong verbal communication with staff and customers.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Store clean dishes and cooking equipment in proper areas.
• Maintain clean and organized dish and pot areas for safety and sanitation.
• Follow proper food handling procedures and quality standards.
• Operate food service equipment according to manufacturer and department procedures.
