Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in high-volume food preparation preferred.
• Strong understanding of food safety and therapeutic diets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check menus to determine quantities needed and gather food, supplies, and utensils.
• Measure and combine ingredients for soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, gravies, etc., per recipes.
• Cook regular and special diet foods according to recipes to meet daily production requirements.
• Set up hot food on steam table and plate per diet and serving size.
• Transport food to storage, refrigerators, freezers, and serving areas.
• Operate cooking equipment (ovens, toaster, mixers, blenders).
