Job summary

Kauaʻi Veterans Memorial Hospital, part of Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, Kauaʻi Region, seeks a Kitchen Helper to support Nutritional Services. You will perform routine kitchen duties, assist with meal preparation, and maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas to ensure safe, healthy meals for patients and staff.

No prior experience is required, but basic kitchen know-how helps. Flexible weekend/evening shifts are expected in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Education: A high school diploma or the equivalent is preferred.
• Experience: None required; experience in general kitchen work is preferred.
• Licensure: A current Hawaii type #3 license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine manual work in the kitchen for meal preparation and serving.
• Clean kitchen and dining areas, wash and sanitize utensils and equipment.
• Tolerate kitchen heat and noise; work on weekends, holidays and evenings.
