Job summary

South Peninsula Hospital is seeking a Dietary Dishwasher to support patient care by keeping the kitchen running smoothly. Pay starts at $17.34 per hour with a 15% premium for per diem employees, and no benefits are offered. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and obtain Alaska Food Worker’s Card within 30 days are required.

Responsibilities include cleaning dishes, maintaining equipment, and assisting with receiving and storing supplies while collaborating with the dietary team for timely meal service.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• State Alaska Food Worker’s Card within 30 days of employment.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Good health with ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain clean, well-groomed appearance.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment and ensure proper chemical use.
• Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating kitchen supplies.
• Work with the dietary team to ensure smooth meal service for patients.
