Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a patient-focused food service teammate for the St Josephs Medical Center location in the Nutrition Services department. The role involves cooking, baking and basic food preparation, adhering to infection control guidelines and following dietary recipes and departmental policies.

Experience in institutional food service is preferred; Serve Safe certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer.

Qualifications

• Education Qualifications: This position provides high quality appealing and nutritious foods to customers through food service through large and small scale cooking, baking and, basic food preparation, general cleaning and stocking of food services areas. Properly uses and cares for institutional food service equipment. Strictly adheres to infection control guidelines during food handling to prevent food contamination. Carefully follows Dietary recipes, guidelines, and departmental policies.
• Work Experience: Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking, quantity food cooking experience or experience working in an institutional food services department is preferred.
• Licensure/Certification Qualifications: Certification/Licensure Requirements: Solvay Hospice House Only: Serve Safe Certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer
