Job summary

THOM Thomas Hospitals in Charleston, WV seeks a Supply Chain Technician to ensure proper receiving, storage, and distribution of materials. You will input data, manage inventory, and support the MMIS system while maintaining accuracy and accountability across the department.

Responsibilities include restocking, processing requisitions, labeling, and assisting with courier runs. The role requires physical stamina and adherence to safety standards in a high-stress hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with data entry and inventory management preferred.
• Ability to read/write English and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist Buyers and Supply Chain leadership to maintain inventory levels and PAR recommendations.
• Understand supply automation systems for restocking and inventory adjustments.
• Manage MMIS software and other hospital systems.
• Enter purchase requisitions and patient charges where applicable.
• Count and distribute supplies accurately across hospital departments.
• Assist with ordering supplies, including walk-up and emergency orders.
• Label supplies and ensure proper documentation and code accuracy.
• Follow hospital policies and maintain clean storeroom and dock areas.
• Handle shipping duties (FedEx/UPS) and courier runs as needed.
• Conduct periodic physical inventories and cycle counts.
