The role involves hands-on mechanical work, soldering, and coordination with foremen, with a focus on safety and compliance. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant experience and CFC Recovery Certification.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 4+ years relevant experience.
• Trade or vocational school is preferred.
• 1 year prior hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all HVAC system components including motors, compressors, starters, controls, heat exchangers, steam traps, coils, dampers and drive accessories.
• Keeps refrigeration circuits leak-tight and adds refrigerant as necessary.
• Adjusts equipment to ensure peak operating efficiency.
• Performs complete pump overhauls including shaft and bearing replacement.
• Maintains and troubleshoots pneumatic and electrical control systems.
• Performs soldering, welding and burning as required.
• Completes preventive maintenance procedures and related paperwork in a timely manner.
