Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in the following areas by performing assigned tasks with integrity in the Housekeeping Department.
• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, patient care units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, restrooms, and all other areas within UBH campus.
• Performs discharge cleaning according to policy.
• Demonstrates ability to use and maintain cleaning equipment properly.
• Assists visitors with directions whenever requested.
• Introduces self to patients, families, and visitors as appropriate.
• Handles regular and hazardous waste appropriately.
• Cleans and stocks housekeeping carts and closets at end of shift.
• Observes safety and security precautions including reporting safety hazards to supervisors.
