Xanitos, Inc. is hiring Part-Time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers for 3rd Shift at UMH Sparrow in Lansing, MI. The role involves cleaning and maintaining patient areas, corridors, restrooms, and equipment on hospital premises, with emphasis on safety and hygiene in a healthcare setting.

The 3rd shift runs 11:00pm to 7:30am with a $3.35 shift differential; includes every other weekend/holiday. Must be vaccinated and able to pass pre-employment screenings; high school diploma or GED

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience in janitorial industry a plus.
• Medical cleaning a plus.
• COVID-19 vaccination required as a condition of employment.
• Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Sweeps and/or vacuums floor.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebasket and transports trash to disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Transports small equipment or tools between departments.

Job Overview:

The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers may work in any location on client premises. This individual cleans and keeps in an orderly condition facilities or locations in a health care campus. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Xanitos may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities, client requirements and applicable industry standards.
