Job summary

Webster County Community Hospital in Nebraska is seeking a part-time housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities include cleaning assigned areas, following schedules, using PPE, reporting repairs, and coordinating with other departments as needed. Prior healthcare cleaning experience preferred but not required; ability to lift up to 50 pounds may be needed.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA Compliance.
• Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds occasionally.
• Wears PPE and follows safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas by approved methods to prevent spread of disease.
• Prepares and follows daily assignment schedule including routine and special cleaning.
• Inspects facility premises during duties and reports repairs as needed.
• Communicates with staff for unscheduled cleaning of rooms.
• Uses correct chemical formulas and PPE when cleaning.
• Ensures rooms are free of trash and maintains safety signs as appropriate.
• Vacuums, mops, and extends cleaning to windows, walls, baseboards, vents as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Maintenance or Administrator.
