Job summary

Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team in Lancaster, PA. This full-time dayshift role supports inpatient rehabilitation by cleaning patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, and other areas to maintain a safe, sanitary environment.

You will operate cleaning equipment, restock supplies, and follow infection-control policies. Prior healthcare environmental services experience is preferred, and effective communication with patients and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
• Experience in environmental services in healthcare settings preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls and windows according to the daily schedule.
• Vacuum s, sweep, mop, scrub and shine floors; replenish paper and soap; clean mirrors, sinks and toilets.
• Operates cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
• Collects and removes trash from all areas of the facility daily.
• Stocks linens throughout the hospital to ensure unit readiness.
• Adheres to infection control policies and reports safety hazards.
