Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a part-time Housekeeper for the Day Shift to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment. Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, discharge units, offices, and common areas, following hospital standards, and handling supplies and equipment with care.

Schedule is 7 am – 3:30 pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Prior janitorial experience and the ability to work with hospital procedures are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial and cleaning experience preferred.
• Able to become familiar with use and care of housekeeping chemicals and equipment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with health care team.
• Able to work with varying demands of patients, public and employees.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms and discharge units to hospital standards.
• Maintain clean office/ancillary areas and support quality control audits.
• Perform isolation cleaning as required.
• Restock supplies (soap, tissues, towels, disposables).
