Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Experience in gardening and grounds maintenance.
• Valid California driver’s license and DMV report as per SVMC policy.

Responsibilities

• Plants, cultivates, waters and sprays ornamental plants, shrubs, hedges, trees and flowers.
• Cares for lawns and maintains grounds.
• Rakes leaves, hoes weeds, and performs general grounds maintenance tasks.
• Prepare and treat soils, fertilize flowerbeds and plantings.
• Keep grounds clean, orderly and well-maintained.
• Maintain hoses, tools, supplies and equipment in good condition.
• Trim trees, hedges and shrubs and erect supports as needed.
• Perform general labor related to grounds and garden maintenance.
• Documentation reflects compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Read and understand Chemical Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Must possess a valid California driver's license.
• Be punctual and present on site.
