Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals seeks a groundskeeper to perform general grounds maintenance for the facility. You will operate outdoor equipment and support in-house maintenance tasks to keep areas clean and safe.

Requires at least 1 year of groundskeeping and 1 year of maintenance/construction experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a hospital physical to drive a commercial vehicle in WV. Shifts may vary across days.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass hospital physical to drive a commercial vehicle in WV.
• One year groundskeeping experience required.
• One year maintenance/construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general groundskeeping work across hospital grounds.
• Keeps tools clean and inventories materials.
• Adheres to hospital and governmental safety and infection control guidelines.
• Maintains facilities and equipment for service efficiency and safety.
• Operates and maintains department equipment per safety rules.
• Uses PPE and responds to on-call duties.
