Job summary

Shriners Children’s in Boston is seeking a Food Service Worker to support the hospital's dietary department, ensuring nutritious meals in a safe and sanitary environment. The role works Sunday-Thursday, 10:00am-6:30pm, with responsibilities across dishwashing, meal service, and stocking supplies for patient and guest meals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• 1 year of food preparation or distribution experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.
• Diet office work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing will be the primary duty and cleaning.
• Grills/Kettles: serve food to patients and guests with accurate portions following standard portion control; items are portioned and replenished as needed.
• Organizes and stocks all needed supplies, condiments, and utensils for meal service; communicates low stock to kitchen staff.
• Prepare food items for patients, cafeteria guests and catering guests, including modified diets as per daily menu and orders.
