Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Food Service Worker to support the hospital dietary department, ensuring nutritious meals for patients, families, and staff in a safe, sanitary environment. Shifts are Sunday–Thursday, 10:00am–6:30pm, contributing to high standards of patient care.

The role emphasizes dishwashing, meal preparation, and accurate portioning, with opportunities to work across kitchen operations and patient-focused service.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of food preparation or distribution experience.
• Proficiency with computers and basic office software.
• Experience in diet office work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing is the primary duty and cleaning grills/kettles.
• Serve food to patients and guests with accurate portions, following portion control.
• Stock and organize supplies, condiments, and utensils; maintain FIFO and notify when running low.
• Clean and organize the kitchen.
• Prepare patient and guest meals according to daily menus and special diets.
