Responsibilities

• Assembles trays according to patient menu selections.
• Complies with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets.
• Communicates patient food issues/needs to Food & Nutrition Services.
• Interacts with Nursing regarding patient nutrition needs and unit food service needs.
• Contributes to patient satisfaction by providing quality service.
• Adheres to HIPAA and patient rights policies.
• Follows health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Follows HACCP guidelines when distributing food supplies.
• Completes daily/weekly/monthly reports as required by policies.
• Identifies and uses cleaning chemicals per MSDS and manufacturers' directions.
• Operates equipment safely and performs other duties as assigned.
