Job summary

Dept Behavioral Health/Develop in Virginia seeks a Food Service Technician I to support diet kitchen and custodial operations, reading diet restrictions and preparing trays. You will handle tray delivery, dishwashing, and cafeteria assistance while maintaining sanitation standards and teamwork with nursing and other departments.

Daily duties include inventory, labeling, and feeding patients per schedules, with attention to infection control and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Diet kitchen and custodial daily operations, trays prepared per patient diet restrictions.
• Read tray tickets, place condiments and organize trays by units.
• Deliver trays to units according to schedule and operate dish machine.
• Inventory and stock nursing units and prepare nourishments and special foods.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation per infection control procedures.
• Record wash temperatures and monitor dish machine operation.
• Assist with cafeteria duties and front-line supervisor tasks.
