The Memphis VA Medical Center in Nutrition and Food Services is seeking a Food Service Worker (WG-4). Responsibilities include preparing meals, inputting patient orders into Computrition Software, serving, dishwashing, and assisting cooks under supervision.

Rotating schedules include early morning and late shifts, weekends and holidays as needed. Candidates must meet the VA's screen-out and qualification standards and demonstrate knowledge of safe food handling and modified diets.

Qualifications

• Experience or training demonstrating ability to perform food service duties.
• Adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and recipe specs.

Responsabilités

• Receive and input patient orders into Computrition Software.
• Set up dining room tables and place foods and beverages.
• Return soiled trays and dishes to the dish room.
• Deliver meal trays to patients and report comments to supervisor/dietitian.
• Prepare beverages and simple cold foods per recipes.
• Assist cooks with weighing, measuring and assembling ingredients.
• Operate, break down and clean equipment in food service areas.
• Portion foods into standard serving sizes and prepare boxed meals.
