Keck Hospital of USC is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist in setting up and serving meals, to prep simple foods, and to maintain clean, safe work areas. The role involves interacting with patients and staff, restocking, and following recipes and service standards.

Responsibilities include equipment sanitization, inventory assistance, and adherence to safety regulations. The position offers an hourly wage with opportunities for growth within Keck Medicine of USC.

Qualifications

• Requires high school or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience if no diploma.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service behavior.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) must be obtained within 30 days if not already held.

Responsabilités

• Reads and follows recipes and product directions.
• Estimates food requirements and ingredients.
• Operates kitchen utensils to weigh, mix, and prepare foods.
• Assists in hot/cold food prep and proper storage.
• Maintains clean and sanitized workstations and equipment.
• Sets up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, and utensils.
• Serves and replenishes food from counters and steam tables.
• Interacts with customers and provides excellent service.
• Attends safety trainings and follows policies.
