Job summary

Methodist Hospital Northeast is seeking a Food Service Worker II to perform a wide range of duties in our cafeteria and patient-care areas. You will prepare and serve meals, handle cash transactions, and ensure food safety and quality in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities span Cafeteria, Salad Aides, Nourishments, Plugger and Grill stations, with emphasis on timely service, portion control, safe handling, and excellent customer service for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Some Food Service experience is desirable.
• Food Handlers permit or must obtain during the first two weeks of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food, serve food, and may serve as cashier.
• Demonstrate proper cash handling procedures and operate cash registers.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and ensure products are attractively presented.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for holding, serving and storing food.
• Support cafeteria operations across multiple stations (Cafeteria, Salad Aides, Nourishments, Plugger, Grill).
