University of Chicago Medicine in Chicago's Hyde Park campus seeks a Food Service Worker for a 2nd shift. This 100% onsite role supports meals for patients, staff, and visitors, with duties including portioning, temperature checks, sanitation, and stock control.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, ability to read/write/basic math, and strong teamwork. OSHA Respiratory Fit Test completion and on-the-job training are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read, write, perform basic math and follow instructions.
• Ability to work harmoniously with diverse people.
• Completion of OSHA Respiratory Fit Test.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsabilités

• Dispense and handle food for patients, staff, and visitors per department standards.
• Ensure proper portioning, temperature, and quality control; notify supervisor of issues.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards; clean before/after assignments and handle waste properly.
• Transport and store food and supplies; label and rotate stock per guidelines.
• Assist in orientation of new staff and support clerical tasks when needed.
