Job summary

The Food Service Worker at Southern New Hampshire Health System supports meal preparation and serving across the Nashua campus, setting up food stations, stocking trays, delivering meals, and maintaining clean, sanitized work areas in line with safety standards. Preferred candidates have a High School diploma or GED; ServSafe certification is a plus and can be provided if needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2+ years combined experience in food preparation, dishwashing, kitchen utility, or customer service.
• ServSafe certification preferred; we will provide certification if not achieved by time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Sets up stations with food products and utensils as assigned.
• Service tray line station at mealtimes and stocks and cleans tray line position.
• Collects, cleans, and sanitizes soiled meal carts and food trays and returns equipment to proper area once cleaned.
• Prepares some cold food items as directed using safe food handling procedures; utilizes leftovers and rotates stock appropriately.
• Cross-trains to assist in the coverage for the Customer Service Worker roles and can perform additional duties if requested.
