Job summary

Rush Specialty Hospital is seeking a Food Service Aide/Dietary Aide on a PRN/Per Diem schedule. The role includes patient food service, dining room and dish room duties, with food preparation and serving to patients, families, staff, and visitors.

Compensation is $18.00 per hour with company paid parking. Prior healthcare food service experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous healthcare food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of patient food services, dining room services and dish room services.
• Be part of the food preparations, serving of prepared food to patients, families, staff and visitors and assist in cleanup.
• Be timely and efficient when preparing food.
• Provide high quality food preparation and service.
• Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising quality of work.
• Volunteer to help in other areas of the kitchen when necessary.
• Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner.
