Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System is seeking a Floor Technician to perform major floor cleaning and refinishing throughout the hospital, following scheduled procedures and maintaining a professional demeanor with patients, families, and coworkers. The role includes operating cleaning equipment and ensuring sanitation standards across units.

Responsibilities include dust mopping, wet mopping, scrubbing with an automatic scrubbing machine, and burnishing floors according to the daily/weekly

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment used for floor maintenance within a healthcare setting.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform major floor cleaning and refinishing per schedules.
• Dust mop, wet mop, and scrubs with an automatic scrubbing machine; burnish floors.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
• Follow any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
