Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center - Environmental Services in Oak Lawn, IL, is hiring for a Full-time Environmental Services Aide. The role involves scrubbing, stripping, polishing and refinishing floors, operating cleaning equipment, and maintaining sanitary conditions throughout the hospital.

You will follow department processes, assist with waste disposal, support discharge room and OR cleaning as needed, and provide courteous service to patients and staff while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1-2 years experience with prior housekeeping experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, strips, polishes and refinishes floors using appropriate equipment.
• Operates cleaning equipment (ringers, vacuum, floor machines, sweepers).
• Clean or sanitize after emergency spill as requested.
• Dispose of waste in a timely, safe manner and follow hospital processes.
• Cross-trained on discharge room cleans and OR cleaning to accommodate needs.
