Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform floor cleaning and refinishing in line with hospital standards. You will support safe patient care and maintain a clean, safe environment on the day shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) with variable days.

Requires two years of experience with floor care, stripping, waxing, spray buffing, carpet shampooing, and safety procedures. No formal education is required.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment assessment and screenings.
• Ability to read and understand some English.
• Knowledge of chemical spill cleanup and exposure procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care functions in assigned areas following established schedules and methods.
• Strips and waxes floors.
• Maintains floors by spray buffing, burnishing, or shower-scrubbing and top-coating.
• Shampoos carpets and removes small spots and stains.
• Follows safety procedures with barriers and signage in work areas.
• Handles, mixes, labels, and disposes of all chemicals safely.
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and reports repairs.
• Keeps areas tidy, including trash removal and room setup.
