Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking an Environmental Services worker to perform daily cleaning and supplies of patient rooms, wards, lounges, restrooms, and common areas in accordance with department standards.

The role emphasizes safe handling of chemicals, timely service, and collaboration with hospital staff. A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, with at least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, wards, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, and other areas according to Environmental Services standards.
• Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and methods.
• Dusts surfaces, empties waste, cleans rooms, and replenishes supplies.
• Dries and mops floors, cleans carpets, and makes beds as needed.
• Supports admissions, discharges, and transfers through timely cleaning turnover.
• Adheres to procedures for handling, mixing, and disposing of all chemicals.
