Job summary

AZ General Hospital Laveen is seeking an Environmental Service Specialty Technician to maintain floor care and general cleaning across the hospital, including stairwells and public spaces, using scrubbers, buffers, polishers, extractors, and wet vacuums.

You will also work in Specialty Units, ensuring a safe care environment for patients and staff by applying cleaning, disinfecting, and quality assurance practices, while collaborating with hospital teams to meet cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Floor care experience preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care and maintenance throughout the facility, including hard surfaces and carpeting, stripping and waxing floor surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect specialty units and equipment; assist with conference room setup as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe hospital environment, following health care cleaning and disinfection principles and chemical safety.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff while upholding privacy and safety standards.
