Job summary

Encompass Health in Katy, TX is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain our facility's floor finishes and keep a safe, clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role involves floor cleaning, buffing, and routine maintenance as part of daily hospital operations.

You will move furniture and supplies as needed, assist with housekeeping tasks, and follow schedules to uphold high standards of sanitation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six (6) months of floor care experience preferred; additional training provided on the job.
• Experience in general housekeeping is preferred.
• Valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance of floor finishes to create a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
• Perform routine facility housekeeping tasks, including floor cleaning, buffing, carpet shampooing, and periodic floor refinishing.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as required within facility departments.
• Conduct cleaning tasks such as washing walls, windows, vacuuming ceiling vents, and disposing of trash and linen.
• Uphold a sanitary and organized facility through attention to detail and adherence to established schedules and procedures.
