Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, OH seeks a Director of Accounting to lead day-to-day accounting functions at our facility. The role includes general ledger maintenance, cash processing, accounts payable management, and financial reporting.

You will assist the CFO, participate in the annual audit, and help prepare cost reports while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. A Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance is required, with hospital accounting experience preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and ability to analyze data to detect and correct errors.
• Accuracy with all numbers.
• Maintains confidentiality of the information available.
• Verbal ability required to understand requests and express questions and concerns as they are presented.

Responsabilidades

• Month-end closing and preparation of month-end financial and statistical reports.
• Directs and coordinates all activities within the department; prepares work schedules and assigns tasks.
• Recruits, orients, trains, evaluates and monitors staff performance.
• Ensures timely completion of performance reviews and staff development.
• Prepares an annual budget and monitors expenses to goals.
• Maintains policies and procedures aligned with hospital objectives.
• Assists with external audits and cost reports for government agencies or payers.
