Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a General Maintenance Mechanic for the A/C Shop in Norfolk, VA. The role covers maintenance across building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components, with a focus on the hospital environment.

You must have 2–3 years of maintenance experience, a VA or NC driver's license, and be prepared for rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call duties. Refrigerant recovery certification is preferred or universal required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of Maintenance experience.
• Commercial preferred.
• Must have a VA or NC Drivers License.
• Mission Essential Personnel status.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance on building structure and systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related components.
• Support other Facility Shops as required.
• Must be able to work a rotating shift, rotating weekends, and be on-call as required.
