Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, TN seeks a Maintenance Worker to support safe and uninterrupted facility operations. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing hospital systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, across the campus.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years hands-on maintenance experience, are physically capable, and can work in varying conditions. The position includes an on-call rotation and requires timely on-site response within 30 minutes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.2+ years hands-on maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing systems.
• Experience troubleshooting motors and mechanical equipment.
• Physically active role requiring walking, climbing stairs, kneeling, and working outdoors/in varying conditions.
• Willingness to participate in rotating on-call schedule and respond onsite within 30 minutes when on call.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hospital buildings, equipment, and systems.
• Inspect and maintain HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, and electrical/plumbing components.
• Respond to work orders and urgent maintenance needs across the hospital.
• Carry out minor construction, repairs, and building-related electrical/plumbing tasks as needed.
• Document completed work and communicate status to leadership.
