Job summary

University Behavioral Health of Denton is seeking a Director of Plant Operations to oversee Engineering, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and related departments. You will lead staff and contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient hospital operations across buildings and systems.

The role requires overseeing safety programs, regulatory compliance with CMS, TJC, EPA, OSHA, and environmental standards, and coordinating energy management alongside regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma and experience in a technical trade or field related to facility maintenance and engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, administers and controls the operations of Engineering, Maintenance, housekeeping, emergency preparedness, purchasing, safety, transportation, security, and Grounds departments.
• Fills all duties of hospital safety officer.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies including TJC, CMS, EPA, OSHA, and state/local agencies.
• Manages staff and contractors to maintain safe and efficient operation of hospital buildings.
• Maintains environmental compliance programs, permits and licenses.
