Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; ability to troubleshoot common issues.
• Understanding of healthcare-related regulations, including Joint Commission standards, OSHA safety regulations, and infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and performs basic repairs on mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems, including hospital-specific equipment.
• Responds promptly to work requests or trouble calls; completes tasks efficiently and documents work.
• Conducts routine inspections of facility equipment and systems to identify problems and safety hazards, ensuring compliance with healthcare codes and facility standards.
• Maintains records of maintenance activities and work orders; coordinates with hospital staff to minimize disruption to patient care.
• Assists with inventory management, procurement of materials, and provides weekend and emergency coverage as needed.
• Completes documentation of preventive maintenance and regulatory compliance tasks.
